Version 1.0 · Last updated August 10, 2026

The short version

  • PourCalc works fully offline. No account, no login, no server of ours.
  • Your calculations and saved jobs stay on your device — they are never sent to us.
  • We collect no personal data ourselves.
  • The only personal data processed is processed by Google — for ads in the free version, and for the one-time purchase.
  • Buy the ad-free unlock and the advertising SDK never starts at all.

1. Who is responsible for your data

PourCalc is published by Martins Leitarts, established in Latvia. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for the limited processing described below.

Contact: martins@techbearcoding.lv. This mailbox is monitored and is the fastest way to reach us about anything in this policy. Full trader contact details, including postal address, are published on the app's Google Play store listing.

2. The short version

PourCalc is a concrete calculator that works fully offline. There is no account, no login, and no server of ours — we do not operate a backend, and your calculations are never transmitted to us.

We collect no personal data ourselves. The only personal data processed in connection with the app is processed by Google, for advertising in the free version and for handling the one-time purchase. If you buy the ad-free unlock, the advertising SDK is never started at all.

3. Data that stays on your device

The app stores the following locally, using Android's standard storage:

  • Saved jobs and pours — dimensions, shape, waste percentage, bag size, bag counts
  • Your preferences — units, default bag size, theme, language, last-used shape
  • A cached flag recording whether you have purchased the ad-free unlock

We have no access to any of this. It is readable only by the app, it is deleted when you uninstall, and none of it is transmitted to us.

Backup

PourCalc uses Android's standard Auto Backup. If backup is enabled in your device settings, Android may copy the data listed above to your own Google Drive account, under your control and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We cannot read these backups. You can disable this in your device's system settings, under Google → Backup.

4. Advertising (free version only)

The free version shows a single banner advertisement on the home screen, supplied by Google AdMob.

To serve ads, Google's advertising SDK collects and processes:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
  • Your IP address, from which an approximate location may be derived
  • Device information — model, operating system version, language, screen size
  • Ad interaction data — that an ad was shown, and whether it was tapped

This data is collected by Google, not by us. We never see it, and we receive only aggregate, non-identifying reports about ad performance and revenue. Google acts as an independent data controller in respect of this data and uses it for its own purposes as described in its policies:

Your choices

  • If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent form appears before any ad is requested. Nothing is requested until you have answered it. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalised ones.
  • Anywhere in the world, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings, under Settings → Google → Ads.
  • Buying the ad-free unlock removes advertising entirely. The advertising SDK is not initialised for purchasers — it is not merely hidden.

5. Purchases

PourCalc offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase that removes advertising and unlocks the Pro features. There is no subscription.

The transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment and is the data controller for it. We never receive your card number, billing address, or any other payment credential — we receive only a confirmation from Google that a purchase exists for your Google account, which the app uses to unlock the features.

Restoring a purchase on a new device simply asks Google Play what you already own.

6. What we never do

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or account details
  • We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or any tracking SDK beyond the advertising described above
  • We do not request location, camera, contacts, microphone or storage permissions
  • We do not sell or share personal data with anyone, for any purpose
  • We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you

7. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

ProcessingLegal basis
Personalised advertising (EEA/UK/CH)Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) — collected via Google's consent form and withdrawable at any time
Non-personalised advertisingOur legitimate interest in funding a free app, Art. 6(1)(f)
Processing the in-app purchasePerformance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b)

8. International transfers

Google may process the data described in sections 4 and 5 outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy for current details.

9. How long data is kept

  • On your device — until you delete the job, clear the app's data, or uninstall
  • By Google, for advertising and purchases — according to Google's own retention policies, which we do not control

10. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we hold no personal data about you and cannot identify you, we will usually be unable to act on such a request ourselves — for anything relating to advertising or purchases, you should contact Google, who holds that data.

You may still write to us at martins@techbearcoding.lv with any question.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija) dvi.gov.lv.

11. Children

PourCalc is a tool for construction work. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 16. The app is rated for a general adult audience and is not enrolled in Google Play's Families programme.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where the change affects how your data is used, describe it in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Current version: 1.0 (last updated August 10, 2026). This is the initial version of the policy.
